Last week’s book of the week really got us talking! We read Sam and Dave Dig a Hole by Mac Barnett, a 2015 Caldecott Honor book. The story follows Sam and Dave as they dig a hole and try to find “something spectacular.” The story and pictures are great, but it was the way the story ends that got us talking and speculating, and the students had many great ideas about what happened to the main characters! Give this story a try and see what you think happened to Sam and Dave!
